Who we are, Where we come from
The Scouting program in Centralia, Missouri has a strong tradition of promoting the ideals of Scouting. Through community service, weekly meetings, and district level events, scouts get to experience a wide-range of opportunities in scouting. Both the Pack and Troop leadership is active at the district level, helping to bring additional opportunities to the boys participating in scouts. In addition, the leadership is committed to assisting the boys in advancing in their rank or with merit badges. Whether it is camping on the weekend, participating in Order of the Arrow events, or assisting in the community, scouting in both the Pack and Troop learn the skills necessary to be productive members of tomorrow's community.
Pack 90 provides a scouting experience for boys in grades First through Fifth. Moving up from Bobcat to Arrow of Light Scout, boys progressively work to acquire the skills to prepare them for Boy Scouts.
In 2015, Troop 90 was honored to have its 100th Eagle Scout. In addition to the numerous Eagle Scouts from Troop 90, several adults have served at the district and council level. Others have been honored and recognized through awards such as the Silver Beaver Award and District Award of Merit. The Troop has a continued commitment to assisting not only the young men in the Troop, but to the community, district, and council.
We encourage you to take a moment and view some of our activities and events, contact the Pack or Troop leadership, and visit the Council website.
