Adult training opportunities
Scouting is not just for the youth. Without trained, informed leaders, scouting could not occur. The most important training for all adults participating with Pack 90 or Troop 90 is Youth Protection Training. This training must be completed every two years and emphasizes the methods of two-deep leadership to protect the youth against potential abuse and bullying.
Adults in Centralia's Scouting program are encouraged to play an active role in their son's Scouting experience. The BSA provides online training for several aspects, but there are additional opportunities for adults to receive additional training to improve their local scouting programs and scouting in general.
In addition to Youth Protection, adult leaders can receive training in hazardous weather, swim safety, and leader specific positions such as committee chair. More formal training events include:
